We are excited to welcome two resident dog trainers to Dragonfly Dog: Claire (Northk9 Training) and Jemma (Ruffmutz Training & Behaviour). Our Canine Workshops will enable you to work with your dog to bring out the best in them. Classes will be updated regularly.

This is a foundation and confidence building class, aimed at getting you and your puppy off to a great start with basic training like recall, general manners around other dogs and people, and walking on a lead.
Suitable for all puppies under 6 months old!
You will learn:
Come along and get started on those all important foundations like recall, leave it, and loose lead walking
Chat through those common puppy topics like house-training, socialisation, and puppy nipping/biting
Help build your puppy’s confidence around new people and dog
For this course you will need:
Your puppy
Collar/harness and lead (not a flexi lead)

Poo bags
A mat/vet bed

A foundation level course aimed at dogs who may have missed out on puppy training or may not have done any training in a while. This is a good course to join as we will be running follow up levels progressing further each course. Dogs must be social and able to work in a group setting. Ideal for dogs 6 months and older!
You will learn:
How to settle in a group environment
Focus and attention around distractions
Basic skills such as sit, down
Making a start on recall and other foundation skills
looking at the other end of lead and working on handler skills
For this course you will need:
Your dog
A collar and lead (not a flexi lead)
A well fitted harness
A long line
Dog’s favourite non-squeaky toy

A nice follow on from the Puppy Smart Course, or suitable for older dogs with some foundation training. We will be continuing to build on the basic skills learned. Dogs must be social and able to work in a group setting.

You will learn:
How to extend loose lead walking including around dogs and people
Stays
To build and extend recall with some distractions
Polite greetings around people
Extend the leave it behaviour
Grooming and handling of your dog
Introducing waits and breaks

Training Terms & Conditions
Please read our terms and conditions before booking your appointment!
Female dogs may not use the centre when in heat.
Dogs displaying symptoms of illness may not use the centre (please allow 48 hours after a bout of diarrhoea or vomiting).
Ensure dog is toileted before coming inside (although obviously accidents happen)
I agree to clean up any mess that my dog makes within the centre or in the car park.
I acknowledge that video and audio CCTV is in use 24 hours within the centre and the car park.
Dogs must be social to attend classes.
Please try and avoid too much playing on lead outside before class as it affects concentration.
Dogs should display a correct ID tag as per law, (surname, home address and contact number).
If a dog is not of suitable temperament for group classes, you will be removed from class and we will discuss alternative options.
Children under 12 not allowed to handle dogs in class, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (terms of our insurance)
1 dog per handler
Payment for training will be made at time of booking otherwise booking is not guaranteed.
Cancellations must be received no later than 48 hours before booking time or the payment is non-refundable.
No shows are non-refundable.
